Ensuring Security
Ethernet functionality resides at Layer 2, creating a private network with no Layer 3 routing involved. Since traffic is not routed, data is not vulnerable to Internet Protocol security risks. By design, customer data units can only reach their configured endpoint destinations.

Three classes of service are available based on traffic type (1) Standard; Ideal for non-critical or sporadic data traffic such as email, web-browsing (2) Enhanced; for critical application traffic with less sensitivity to delay than voice/ video applications, and (3) Optimized; for traffic that requires rigorous timing control and other metrics such as voice, streaming media and video applications
