The Level 3® Optical Wavelength Service (OWS) over Wave Division Multiplexing (WDM) is a bi-directional, point-to-point offering that can provide government agencies the capability to interconnect their offices with wavelength-based channels at speeds of 2.5 Gbps and 10 Gbps of fully dedicated bandwidth. It includes a technological path to 40 Gbps service upon commercial availability.
Our metro optical wavelength service provides transparent, dedicated connections at 100 Mbps – 2.6 Gbps and 10 Gbps speeds within the same metropolitan area. Agencies can enjoy a seamless transition of OWS from metro to intercity services since Level 3 operates one of the largest combined Intercity and Metro backbones in CONUS.
