Level 3 Strengthens Business Partner Program to Drive Enterprise Sales

Program Includes Over 100 Direct Agent Partners and Approximately 4,000 Sub Agent Partners Served Through Master Agent Partners

LAS VEGAS, March 4, 2007 - Level 3 Communications’ Business Markets group today announced that it has launched its Business Partner Program creating a new program that provides telecommunications agents and value added resellers (VARs) with access to a comprehensive portfolio of IP and voice communications services designed to enable further penetration in the enterprise and small to medium business (SMB) market.

Designed to help Level 3 drive incremental sales and revenue through an extended indirect sales channel of partners, the Business Partner Program is built on Level 3’s assessment of partner needs with attention to critical success factors. The program provides qualified participants with access to dedicated sales, operations, marketing, sales engineering, and support resources utilizing a channel-neutral policy with Level 3’s direct sales force.

“Our Business Partner Program participants are an important part of our overall business strategy, and we are committed to making the most comprehensive roster of our services available to them,” said Dennis Kyle, senior vice president of indirect channels for Level 3. “Level 3’s program provides our business partners with a unique combination of a very broad service portfolio, unparalleled network reach and a comprehensive set of tools and programs designed to help them succeed in today’s competitive environment.”

Level 3’s Business Partner Program now combines Level 3’s existing program with the recently acquired Broadwing partner program to provide enterprise-level services on Level 3’s national footprint.

Level 3’s broad portfolio of services, global network and comprehensive partner support enable its business partners to rapidly respond to technology changes, new ideas and customer needs. As part of its commitment to enable the success of its partners, Level 3 has augmented its partner program benefits in several ways:

  • Through acquisition and continued investment in organic growth, the Level 3 network now enables greater customer reach with a unique combination of intercity and metro network assets, including approximately 125 metro markets and approximately 6,500 on-net traffic aggregation points and end user buildings.
  • The program now includes a broader enterprise-focused service portfolio, including MPLS-based data services, dedicated internet services and enterprise voice services.
  • The program incorporates exciting Level 3 promotions and sales contests for its business partners, designed to increase sales.
  • The program also incorporates a customer satisfaction program designed to drive continuous program success.

“Since we joined Level 3’s Business Partner Program last year, we are set up to better penetrate the enterprise customer space,” said Vince Bradley, CEO of World Telecom Group (WTG), a Level 3 Master Agent. “From the dedicated National Partner Sales Manager, field partner sales managers and valuable sales and marketing programs, Level 3 provides us with the market specific tools we need to be successful.  We are excited about this channel friendly relationship”

"We chose to partner with Level 3 because of their demonstrated commitment to and investment in their partner's success," said Quy "Q" Nguyen, CEO of Allyance Communications, and a Level 3 Direct Agent. "Level 3 is a world class service provider, and we are confident that Level 3's service offerings and continued partner support will continue to help us succeed in the market."
